TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • Age Restrictions: The tattoo shop may have a minimum age requirement for getting a tattoo, typically 18 years or older. Some jurisdictions may have additional regulations regarding the minimum age for tattoos.​

  • Consent and ID: Customers may be required to provide a valid form of identification to prove their age and sign a consent form before getting a piercing. In the case of minors, parental or legal guardian consent may be necessary.

  • Health and Safety: The shop should adhere to strict hygiene and safety practices, including maintaining a clean and sterile environment, using disposable and single-use equipment, and following proper sterilization procedures for reusable equipment.

  • Design Approval: The customer may be required to approve the design or provide their own design before the tattooing process begins. Changes or modifications to the design may be subject to the artist's discretion or additional charges.

  • Deposits and Payments: The shop may require a non-refundable deposit to secure a tattoo appointment. The deposit amount and refund policy should be clearly stated. Payment terms for the tattoo service, including accepted forms of payment and any additional fees, should also be outlined.

  • Cancellation and Rescheduling: The policy for canceling or rescheduling appointments should be clearly stated, including any timeframes or penalties associated with such changes.

  • Aftercare Instructions: The customer should receive clear instructions on how to care for their tattoo after the session, including cleaning, moisturizing, and avoiding activities that may jeopardize the healing process.

  • Liability and Disclaimers: The shop may have disclaimers regarding potential risks and complications associated with the tattooing process. Customers should be made aware of these risks and any potential allergies or medical conditions they should disclose prior to getting a tattoo.

  • Intellectual Property: If the customer provides a design for the tattoo, the terms and conditions may address the ownership and copyright of the artwork and any limitations on reproducing or modifying the design.

  • Dispute Resolution: Terms for resolving any disputes or disagreements between the shop and the customer should be included, such as mediation, arbitration, or legal recourse.
